On October 18-19, 2019, one of the long-awaited events took place – “Acne School”. A talented lecturer, Irina Olegovna Smirnova, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology and Dermatovenereology of St. Petersburg State University, and a dermatologist and venereologist at the City Center for Dermatovenereology of the St. Petersburg State University of Health Care “City KVD”, visited us with a two-day program.

The idea to invite Irina Olegovna with her author’s course arose more than six months ago. Especially after her successful performance in tandem with a prominent speaker, dermatologist, trichologist Vladislav Tkachev at a trichology seminar in January 2019. Starting in March, almost every month, participants of our seminars have been interested and asking about Irina Smirnova’s next visit to Kyiv.

The relevance of the Acne School as a competent approach to diagnosis and therapy is difficult to overestimate. Every day, thousands of patients across the country turn to doctors with complaints of numerous manifestations of acne. And despite the fact that the clinical manifestations and pathogenesis of this dermatological disease are well studied, it can be extremely difficult to understand the huge flow of information and weed out myths and pseudoscientific facts.

Iryna Olegovna presented to our listeners a completely new view of the pathogenesis of acne – her results of many years of work, research, a huge array of slides, information, publications on pathogenesis, epidemiology, approaches to classifying acne and the effectiveness of its treatment with various drugs. Anyone who has listened to a lecture by Iryna Olegovna at least once knows for sure her fundamental and meticulous approach, and most importantly the effectiveness of her methods in practice.

Interesting reaction and opinions of the participants seminar, as well as good specialists, dermatologists, cosmetologists and our regular clients.
